I really had no idea how much fun Landkiting was going to be until we started offering it in our school this winter. I can’t say that it has completely replaced my experiences in the water but it has definitely created some really great new ones.
Tybee Island is probably one of the most unique kite spots I’ve ever seen. It is not only home to one of the most amazing kiteboarding spots in the country but it is also one of the best places for Landkiting. The vast open sand bars and long stretches of hard packed sand makes it a very versatile place for riding.
